Film crew heads off the beaten track in search of innovation at Collie

Some of Australia’s most progressive new businesses, including International Graphite, will feature in a television documentary series scheduled to air in early 2023.

For the past 12 years, the Our Town film crew has headed off the beaten track to capture the essence of communities and show why Australia’s regions are an exciting place to visit, live, work, play and invest.

IG6 was chosen for a cameo role to demonstrate how economic development is helping to transform the future of Western Australia’s thriving South West region. The Collie program showcases many of the organisations and people that are helping to rejuvenate the town’s traditional coal-driven economy.

International Graphite’s incoming CEO and Managing Director Andrew Worland said: “We are excited to be part of Collie’s future and the battery industry triangle that is developing in the region.” Mr Worland will appear in the program along with some of the Company’s local consultants and suppliers who have been active supporters providing specialist trades and services to establish IG’s pilot processing operations.

The latest Our Town series is currently showing on the Seven TWO digital network at https://7plus.com.au/our-town. The Collie episode is expected to air in February 2023.
